Job summary

Bristlecone, a leading supply chain transformation partner, seeks an experienced Senior SAP Project Manager to drive end-to-end SAP S/4HANA programs across finance and operations. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex global deliveries under Fixed Price, Milestone, and Time & Materials models.

The role requires guiding programs from blueprint through data migration, testing, cutover, and hypercare, with Bay Area, CA location and alternate week travel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the full lifecycle of SAP S/4HANA implementations from blueprinting to data migration and hypercare.
• Lead critical workstreams including SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live readiness.
• Partner with functional streams (FICO) and technical teams to ensure robust data flows and architectures.
• Oversee delivery budgets and vendor performance across Fixed Price, Milestone, and T&M models.
• Establish governance and communicate progress to executives and steering committees.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior SAP Project to lead large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives. In this role, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA core programs, managing cross-functional workstreams spanning finance, operations, and highly integrated systems.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of managing complex global deliveries under various commercial frameworks (Fixed Price, Milestone-based, and Time & Materials) while acting as a trusted partner to both technical teams and executive leadership.

Location: - Bay Area, CA. Alternate week travel is required

• End-to-End Program Delivery: Direct and manage the full lifecycle of SAP S/4HANA implementations, from initial blueprinting through data migration, testing, and hypercare.
• Workstream Oversight: Lead critical implementation phases including Systems Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover management, and go-live readiness.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with functional streams (specifically FICO) and technical teams to ensure seamless data flows and robust solution architectures.
• Commercial & Vendor Governance: Oversee delivery budgets and vendor performance across diverse commercial models, including Fixed Price, milestone-based metrics, and T&M.
• Executive Communication: Establish robust program governance, tracking KPIs, risks, and milestones, and presenting progress transparently to executive stakeholders and steering committees.

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise in managing SAP S/4HANA enterprise programs across finance and operations.
• Strong understanding of SAP ecosystems, including core integrations and data migration complexities.
• Familiarity with functional design processes, with specific exposure to SAP FICO workflows.
• Demonstrated experience managing rigid test cycles (SIT/UAT) and large-scale deployment readiness.

Experience & Leadership

• 10+ years of IT Project/Program Management experience, with at least 2+ full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations led as the primary owner.
• Extensive experience managing project financials, vendor deliverables, and complex contract types (Fixed Price, Milestones).
• Exceptional executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
