Job summary
Corning Incorporated in Charlotte, NC, seeks an IT Solution Architect for Procurement Systems to lead the transformation of our procurement technology landscape. You will identify IT capabilities, establish technical roadmaps, and align with Enterprise Architecture and Service Owners through vendor engagement and market trend analysis.
This role directs a team of SAP Senior Analysts and external partners, owning design, delivery, and support, ensuring compliant, scalable procurement solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT supply chain and procurement systems.
- 5+ years with SAP MM, SAP Ariba, and SAP Fieldglass in procurement.
- Proven track record designing procurement ecosystems beyond SAP.
- Experience leading delivery and support teams within IT SAP environments.
Responsibilities
- Strategically align long-term procurement system initiatives with the IT procurement landscape.
- Advise business procurement teams on SAP and non-SAP strategies for procurement capabilities.
- Lead a team of IT procurement internal and external experts to deliver design and support.
- Maintain a roadmap for procurement systems ensuring scalability and innovation.
- Identify enhancements using process mining tools such as SAP Signavio.
- Coordinate with IT PMO for transitions of end-of-life systems.
- Collaborate with Service/Product Owners and engagement managers as a technical consultant.
- Promote adoption of innovative technologies across procurement and supply chain teams.
- Provide technical leadership for procurement systems integration with supply chain IT.
- Serve as SME for procurement processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
