SRM Digital is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Presales Architect with a strong SAP Basis background to support solutioning and architecture for large-scale SAP transformation programs.

This is a pure presales and individual contributor role. You will work with clients, sales, delivery, cloud, infrastructure, and SAP teams to understand requirements, design technical solutions, develop proposals, estimate effort, and present the solution to stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Presales Architect with a strong SAP Basis background to support solutioning and architecture for large-scale SAP transformation programs.

This is a pure presales and individual contributor role. The person will work closely with clients, sales, delivery, cloud, infrastructure, and SAP teams to understand requirements, design the right technical solution, develop proposals, estimate effort, and present the solution to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with SAP Basis, S/4HANA architecture, RISE with SAP, SAP HANA, cloud platforms, migrations, upgrades, HA/DR, and system sizing, along with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis-focused presales and solutioning activities for S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Work with clients and internal teams to understand their current SAP landscape, business requirements, and technical challenges.
• Design end-to-end SAP system architectures, including DEV, QA, Production, transport, connectivity, and supporting infrastructure.
• Develop SAP S/4HANA architecture and transformation strategies across on-premises, cloud, RISE with SAP, and hyperscaler environments.
• Define technical approaches for SAP implementations, migrations, upgrades, conversions, and modernization initiatives.
• Provide deep SAP Basis expertise across installations, upgrades, kernel management, system refreshes, transport management, and lifecycle activities.
• Design high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions for SAP environments.
• Perform system sizing, capacity planning, performance assessments, and infrastructure evaluations.
• Conduct technical due diligence and current-state SAP landscape assessments.
• Develop migration and upgrade strategies with appropriate Basis governance, technical controls, and risk mitigation.
• Work with SAP Security teams to define security, access, role, compliance, and identity requirements.
• Define integration and interface strategies for SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Work with cloud and infrastructure teams to develop solutions using AWS, Azure, GCP, and other hyperscaler platforms.
• Develop effort estimates and complexity-based sizing models for SAP Basis and infrastructure activities.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution documents, architecture diagrams, estimates, and client-facing presentations.
• Participate in RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses and support proposal development through to client presentations.
• Lead technical workshops, solution discussions, and presentations with clients and executive stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate technical options, trade-offs, risks, costs, and recommended solutions.
• Stay current with SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, cloud technologies, and SAP's product roadmap.

Required Qualifications

• 13+ years of SAP experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on presales, solutioning, or architecture experience.
• Strong SAP Basis administration and architecture background.
• Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture, implementations, upgrades, conversions, and lifecycle management.
• Strong experience with SAP HANA administration, architecture, sizing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with HA/DR architecture, HANA System Replication, backup/recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience designing SAP landscapes across on-premises, cloud, and RISE with SAP environments.
• Experience with one or more major hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of SAP transport management and enterprise landscape design.
• Experience with SAP migration and upgrade methodologies, including SUM/DMO or similar SAP tools.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration architecture and connectivity between SAP and non-SAP platforms.
• Experience with system sizing, capacity planning, performance optimization, and infrastructure assessments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Experience creating technical proposals, estimates, architecture documents, and presentations.
• Strong proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, and SAP Landscape Management (LaMa).
• Experience with SAP BTP and Integration Suite.
• Exposure to SAP security, GRC, SSO, and identity management.
• Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation programs in manufacturing or other complex enterprise environments.
• SAP certifications in Basis, HANA, S/4HANA, or related technologies.
• PMP or other project/program management certification is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will be able to take a complex SAP landscape, understand the client's business and technical requirements, and turn them into a clear, practical, and commercially viable SAP solution.

You should be comfortable moving between detailed SAP Basis architecture discussions and executive-level conversations, while clearly explaining the recommended approach, effort, risks, dependencies, and expected business value.
