Job summary

Answerthink is seeking a SAP PP/QM Lead/Director Consultant with Public Cloud to guide end-to-end SAP PP and QM projects within S/4HANA environments. You will lead cross-functional workshops, document requirements, and design scalable processes for manufacturing, quality, and compliance.

The role demands strong leadership of global delivery teams, deep PP/QM expertise, and the ability to coordinate with developers and business stakeholders. Remote within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years SAP PP Experience.
• 4-5+ SAP PP Full Life cycle implementations.
• Minimum of 2 S/4HANA implementation Public Cloud.
• Strong Production Planning and Execution Skills.
• Extensive experience in end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing processes, including Production Planning, Forecasting, Purchase to Pay and Quality Management.
• Expertise in SAP Production Planning – Discrete Manufacturing, Repetitive Manufacturing, Production Order Process, Planning Process – MRP, SOP, MPS, Capacity Levelling, Shop Floor Control.
• Expertise in SAP QM – Master data, inspection plan, calibration inspection, Quality certificate, Quality Notification, Control charts, Sample Management.
• Should understand PP/QM interfaces with other modules such as SD, FICO, and MM.
• Variant Configuration, SAP Batch Management, Serial Number Mgmt.
• Handling Unit Management in production (Packing of Inbound & Outbound delivery)
• Knowledge of other core SAP modules (FI, CO, SD) and integration points.
• Experience with SAP IBP, PPDS, MES integration, and GxP Validation/Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP PP/QM module independently; drive & participate in business discussions; provide recommendations.
• Lead onshore and offshore teams and address customer concerns.

OVERVIEW:

The SAP PP/QM Lead / DIrector Consultant with Public Cloud role is responsible for providing strategic and hands-on expertise in Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) within SAP environments, including S/4HANA. This position typically involves leading end-to-end implementations or support engagements, driving solution architecture, and acting as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Professionals in this role are expected to guide cross-functional workshops, document business requirements, and design scalable solutions that align with industry best practices. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality compliance (including GxP), and integration points with other modules such as SD, MM, and FICO is essential.

The role often includes leadership of both onshore and offshore delivery teams, coordination of testing and validation activities, and ensuring smooth transitions during cutovers and hypercare support. This position is particularly relevant in industries like Consumer Products and Life Sciences, where regulatory compliance and production efficiency are critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CONSULTING SKILLS:

• Proficient in facilitating Fit/Gap workshops and directing clients to define requirements
• Proficient in the development of design and functional specification documents
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation.
• Ideally experienced and capable of speaking with C-level executives
• Strong MSOffice Skills with MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint
