Job summary

BravoTECH is seeking an onsite SAP Master Data Management Lead for the SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration project in Dallas. This role is the accountable functional owner for master data across Product, Customer, Vendor, and Pricing domains.

You will drive impact assessment, design validation, data remediation, interface checks, testing strategy, cutover planning, and hypercare with the BASIS team to ensure a successful go-live in August 2027.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of SAP functional experience with master data in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience on ECC to S/4HANA upgrade or conversion in a master data role.
• Hands-on setup and execution with SAP DTV 1.6 or later.
• Deep knowledge of Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, and pricing data.
• Strong communication skills; able to work onsite in Dallas and across business hours.

Job description

Position Summary

is seeking an onsite SAP Master Data Management Lead for the duration of the SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration project, through go-live in August 2027. Master data is the largest area of change in the upgrade after Finance, and this role is the accountable functional owner for that scope across Product, Customer, Vendor, and Pricing domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Impact assessment and functional design: Assess the impact of the S/4HANA upgrade on master data, including Business Partner and CVI changes, and plan the required remediation. Review and validate custom code, validations, interfaces, roles, synchronization processes, and data consistency checks affected by the conversion.
• Business Partner conversion: Confirm that all programs currently uploading customers and vendors are converted to upload Business Partners, and that CVI conversion sequencing is planned and executed correctly.
• Custom program and batch job remediation: Own the inventory of MDM custom programs and batch jobs, determine the change required in each, and drive functional testing, defect analysis, and resolution across the portfolio.
• Interface validation: Validate inbound and outbound processing, field mappings and transformations, batch jobs, IDocs, and error handling for every master data interface.
• Test strategy and execution: Document master data-relevant test cases for existing SAP ECC functionality and lead test case preparation, review, and execution for the upgrade. Cover less frequently used but business critical custom logic, not only the most visible functionality.
• Cutover and go-live: Validate migrated data through each conversion cycle, protect data integrity, support cutover activities with the SAP BASIS team following established standards, and provide hypercare through stabilization.
• Data Transition Validation (DTV): Own the strategy, plan, and execution of SAP DTV through different stages of the project.
• Documentation and knowledge transfer: Produce and review design, testing, runbook, and process documentation across each project phase. Clarify questions from the systems integrator and other teams on existing functionality, support change management activities, and keep project status current with the project managers.

Required Qualifications

• Seven or more years of SAP functional experience, with at least five years focused on SAP master data in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Direct experience on at least one SAP ECC to S/4HANA upgrade or conversion in a master data role.
• Hands-on setup and execution experience with SAP DTV 1.6 or later.
• Demonstrated expertise across Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, source lists, purchasing info records, condition records, and pricing, including Material Master views such as basic data, classification, units of measure, MRP, purchasing, sales, plant, storage, and finance.
• Working knowledge of MDM data modeling, validations, workflows, and governance.
• Practical experience with SAP integration concepts including IDocs, interfaces, field mapping, and error handling.
• Proven experience building and executing functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance test cycles on a large SAP program.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Dallas, Texas and be available across full business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on experience with Business Partner and Customer Vendor Integration conversion on an S/4HANA project.
• Experience remediating a portfolio of custom programs and batch jobs as part of an upgrade.
• Experience working alongside a systems integrator partner.
• SAP certification in a relevant module.
