Job Summary

We are seeking a strong SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (MM) functional lead to support a major SAP integration and transformation program. This role will be accountable for SAP material and related master data readiness required to support design, integration development, conversion, testing, cutover, and go-live.

This person will work closely with the Program Data Lead, SAP functional leads, integration leads, business data owners, and source-system teams to define data requirements, drive mapping decisions, coordinate validation, and reduce defects caused by incomplete or unclear master data.

This is a hands‑on role focused on master data design, source‑to‑target mapping, load readiness, testing support, and issue resolution across SAP and non‑SAP systems. The ideal candidate can operate across business process, data, and execution details, while driving strong coordination with both business and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP MM master data readiness for the program, with primary focus on S4 public cloud APIs.
• Define required SAP master data fields, views, extensions, and business rules by plant, sales org, purchasing org, storage location, and other required dimensions.
• Drive source‑to‑target mapping across SAP and non‑SAP systems, including field mapping, transformation rules, defaults, and ownership. Identify the standard APIs or advise on custom API development, if standard ones are insufficient.
• Work closely with the Program Data Lead to align to the overall governance model, readiness gates, issue management process, and status reporting cadence.
• Support data cleansing, enrichment, and issue resolution with business data owners and source-system teams.
• Validate that master data is ready to support integrations, downstream processes and testing scenarios.
• Support SIT, UAT, cutover, and hyper‑care by triaging master data defects, validating fixes, and ensuring data‑related blockers are resolved quickly.
• Identify and escalation of data risks, mapping gaps, late changes, and workflow/process impacts that could affect timeline or go‑live readiness.
• Reduce mapping churn, late field changes, and blocked testing caused by unclear requirements or incomplete data preparation.

Required Qualifications

• SAP Public Cloud experience with Material Master (MM) is an absolute must.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP MM and master data–related roles on SAP S4 public cloud.
• Strong experience with SAP material master and related data structures.
• Experience supporting master data design across plant, purchasing, inventory, and sales‑related requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with source‑to‑target mapping, transformation rules, load support, validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience supporting data readiness for design, conversion, SIT, UAT, cutover, and go‑live.
• Ability to work across SAP and non‑SAP systems in integration‑heavy environments.
• Strong understanding of how master data impacts end‑to‑end business process execution.
• Strong problem‑solving, issue management, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders, functional teams, integration teams, and technical teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive detailed working sessions and decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP SD.
• Experience with product/material, vendor, and customer master data in complex environments.
• Experience supporting integration‑heavy programs with multiple upstream and downstream systems.
• Experience supporting data conversion, defect triage, and test data readiness.
• Experience with workflow/process impacts related to customer or master data governance.

Reporting / Working Model

• Reports functionally to the Program Data Lead or Program Manager.
• Works closely with SAP functional leads, integration leads, business data owners and source‑system teams.
• Partners with business and IT teams to ensure all master data changes are aligned, approved, and ready for deployment.
