Job summary

Merck is seeking a SAP Manufacturing Systems Specialist to serve as SME for SAP manufacturing master data and production execution processes in a GMP environment. On-site role in Rahway, NJ; reports to the Systems Process Lead Director within FLEx Center.

The candidate will ensure accurate configuration of Material Masters, BOMs, Recipes, and Production Versions, while supporting material staging, inventory transactions, and manufacturing operations across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Create, maintain, and govern SAP Material Masters throughout the material lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), Recipes, Production Versions, and related master data.
• Coordinate with global/local master data teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Author, execute, and close change controls for SAP manufacturing processes and system enhancements.
• Support creation, release, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Process Orders and materials movements.
• Collaborate with MES teams to align SAP master data with electronic batch records.
