Location - Onsite Preferred in Westbrook, Maine US but Remote is also fine.

Summary. Senior IT project manager to run three SAP projects as staff augmentation: two intensive and one lighter. Previous contractor was too SAP-technical and offered solutions to the technical team instead of managing delivery.

The three projects

• A core SAP project run strictly waterfall, with SAP and business stakeholders
• A vendor-facing upgrade of an SAP bolt-on (lighter lift)
• An SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) rollout for supply chain: waterfall in name, iterative and slow-paced in practice, with heavy stakeholder management and dependencies on network and operations teams

Teams are a handful of people each, with roughly a handful of stakeholders on top. Two of the projects pair the PM with a business project or program manager.

Responsibilities

• Own planning, delivery milestones, status reporting and risk management (Confirm "risk" from garbled transcript) across three projects
• Manage stakeholders across SAP teams, business partners, vendors and other IT areas, and keep teams from stepping on each other
• Hold teams and stakeholders accountable to their responsibilities and timelines without escalating everything
• Set expectations with the business PM or program manager at kickoff
• Help drive process improvement and tooling as the SAP program changes
• Be available for the occasional out-of-hours go-live

Required

• Senior project manager with a strong stakeholder management record
• Ability to work independently: sends status updates and builds their own reporting without being asked
• Comfort with SAP teams and terminology. Knows the lay of the SAP land (when to involve Basis or security) without needing deep configuration or ABAP knowledge. Team will accept a tech-savvy PM who learns quickly.
• Eastern time zone with early-start flexibility for European overlap. Someone who starts only at 9 ET won't work.
• Willing to flex hours for occasional evening meetings and Sunday go-lives
