Job summary

Infosys in Richardson, TX seeks a Package Consultant 1 to support ERP implementations in the utilities sector. You will capture user needs for SAP IS-U, assist in mapping processes, and help customize and integrate ERP packages per detailed specifications.

Responsibilities include data migration under guidance, conducting compliance checks, and preparing clear documentation to train the team in an agile, collaborative environment. This role may require relocation or travel within the US.

Qualifications

• Experience in the utility industry (Power, Water, Gas, District Heating).
• End-user or power-user SAP experience in metering, billing, or payments.

In the assigned Job Role of Package Consultant 1, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Assist in stakeholder interviews and workshops, capturing and documenting user needs for ERP implementation projects
• Participate in discussions between stakeholders and the design team, to understand technical solutions
• Develop and refine codes to customize and integrate ERP packages, by following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
• Perform data migration activities by mapping data fields and executing data cleansing under prescribed guidance, for uninterrupted integration
• Conduct and document compliance checks against defined guidelines, to ensure ERP systems align with industry standards and security protocols
• Draft clear and concise documentation detailing steps followed for ERP package customization, to support user training for the team

Required Skill And Experience

• Experience in the utility industry (Power, Water, Gas, District Heating) as:
• Operations/Field Engineer
• Billing Analyst
• Metering Specialist
• Customer Service/Back-office Associate
• SAP end user in metering, billing, or payment processes
• Strong interest in building a career in SAP IS U.
• Basic understanding of utility business processes such as:
• Metering, Billing, energy consumption, payments, collections, customer services etc
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
• Team player with a proactive, learning-driven attitude.
• Exposure to SAP (any module) such as MM, SD, PM, CRM, or FICO as:
• End user
• Power user
• Support analyst
• Familiarity with meter-to-cash (M2C) processes.
• Understanding of core ERP concepts (master data, transactions, configuration).
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., AMI, smart metering, regulatory norms).

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Strong Client Facing experience, great communication and presentations skills.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
