Job summary

GE Aerospace’s Edison Works unit is leading a greenfield SAP S/4HANA deployment to support engine growth from 2028 onward. The Digital Technology professional will blueprint business processes, partner with an SI to deploy SAP S/4HANA, and own ITD product areas for inventory and QM.

The role drives SAP ERP strategy, ensures standard processes, and coordinates with business partners and DT teams to leverage GE standards across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience.
• 5+ years in ERP product management or equivalent roles.
• Experience with ERP concepts across multiple modules.
• Experience implementing or supporting complex ERP projects (SAP, Oracle).
• Security clearance and US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Own the implementation of Material management, inventory and warehouse management in SAP ERP for deployment projects.
• Own the SAP QM module and related processes and integrations.
• Collaborate with business and DT teams to confirm setup and reporting aligned to GE Aerospace standards.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt standard ERP practices.
• Work with third party vendors to minimize customizations while meeting business needs.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise standards and integration with other systems (e.g., Oracle EBS).
• Manage requirements and testing for inventory or QM integrations to external systems.
• Maintain functional competency on SAP EWM configurations and integrations.

Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace’s Edison Works business is embarking on an exciting ERP journey to implement a greenfield SAP S/4HANA instance to support expected engine growth starting in 2028 and beyond. We are hiring a Digital Technology professional to administer, configure, and manage this new SAP environment. In this role, you will lead the blueprinting of GE’s business processes, partner with a system integrator to deploy SAP S/4HANA, and ultimately act as product owner for the Inventory to Deliver (ITD) processes for Edison Works. You will define the strategic direction for the SAP deployment and integrations, collaborating closely with business partners and DT teams to establish best practices and leverage existing standards.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for leading the technical product strategy and roadmap for SAP Inventory and QM solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Own the implementation of all Material management, inventory and warehouse management functions (ie. Inbound receiving, stock locations, picking, receiving, shipping, etc) in SAP ERP for specific deployment projects.
• Own the implementation of the SAP QM module and related business processes and integrations.
• Work closely with business and DT teams to confirm setup and reporting requirements that align to GE Aerospace standards.
• Influence business stakeholders on implementing standard processes and adopting best practice ERP solutions.
• Work with third party vendor to implement SAP solution that minimizes customization and meets the business needs, using opportunity to broaden technical expertise.
• Work with broader GE Aerospace ecosystem to ensure Edison Works business follows enterprise standards and can integrate with other enterprise systems (e.g. Oracle EBS)
• Own the requirements and testing for any inventory or QM integrations needed to external systems
• Maintain a high level of functional competency regarding the standard configuration of SAP EWM and associated integrations by staying abreast of new trends, future enhancements and leveraging best practices.
• Align with functional partner to lead the delivery of product area for initial implementation and future releases.
• Ensure all systems are aligned to IT long term strategy and standards (e.g.SOX, CMMC)
• Verify all needed documentation is completed as part of program delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ERP Product Management
• Experience with foundational ERP concepts across multiple modules
• Experience implementing or supporting complex ERP projects (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in technical product management
• NOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience:

• Due to the nature of the work being performed this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance. Experience with foundational ERP concepts across multiple modules

Desired Characteristics

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with SAP; preferred to have S4/HANA experience.
• Strong experience in delivering enterprise-wide inventory/warehouse management, and production planning IT solutions. ERP implementation experience is preferred.
• Experience integrating an ERP system to MES or non-ERP system
• Experience with GE applications such as Centerpiece, ETQ, TeamCenter
• Experience collaborating across multiple business and IT teams to align priorities and influence delivery
• Strong team player, listens, collaborates, and actively incorporates input from various sources
• Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills; effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions.
