SMS Group is seeking an accomplished SAP expert to lead HANA/Basis architecture, performance engineering, and resilience strategies in a transformative IT landscape. The role focuses on migrations, upgrades, and reliable operations within a manufacturing/industrial context.

You will drive technical health assessments, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver executive-ready findings and roadmaps for ECC-to-S/4 upgrades and cloud transitions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP Basis/database/technical architecture experience.
• Strong HANA architecture and performance-engineering expertise.
• Hands-on migration, HA/DR, backup/recovery, and operational troubleshooting.
• Recent S/4HANA landscape experience.
• Ability to lead both architecture discussions and hands-on diagnosis.

About the Opportunity Lead HANA, Basis and S/4HANA technical architecture across migrations, performance engineering, HA/DR, upgrades, cloud/RISE transitions and technical stabilization. This is a core differentiating capability for the practice.We are building a U.S.-based SAP transformation, recovery, data, and AI practice focused initially on manufacturing and industrial organizations. Our model combines senior SAP expertise, rapid specialist deployment, HANA/data engineering, and flexible project delivery. We are seeking experienced SAP professionals who can operate credibly with business and technology leaders and take ownership of outcomes, not simply complete assigned tasks.

What You Will Do

• Lead HANA/Basis architecture and technical health assessments.
