Job summary

TCS is seeking an experienced SAP Group Reporting Consultant to join our AMS team for a pharmaceutical client. You will support, maintain, and improve SAP Group Reporting within a S/4HANA environment, partnering with Finance, IT, and stakeholders to ensure stability and performance.

Responsibilities include incident management, configuration of Group Reporting objects, month-end close support, and integration with Universal Journal. Strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge and SAP FI/CO expertise required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on SAP Group Reporting and SAP Analysis Objects (AO) in an S/4HANA environment.
• Strong understanding of financial consolidation concepts: intercompany eliminations, currency translation, minority interest, and financial close processes.
• Proficiency in SAP FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets).
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems such as ServiceNow for AMS operations.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.

• Configure and maintain SAP Group Reporting objects including consolidation units, versions, hierarchies, elimination rules, and currency translation methods.

• Collaborate with Finance teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Manage and resolve tickets via ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), ensuring root cause analysis and preventive action for recurring issues.
• Support integration between SAP Group Reporting and SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal, as well as other feeder systems.
• Participate in upgrades, patches, and enhancements to the SAP Group Reporting landscape.
• Conduct unit testing, regression testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes.
• Maintain up-to-date functional and technical documentation (configuration guides, test scripts, SOPs).
• Support intercompany reconciliation, eliminations, and reporting processes.
• Work with SAP Analysis Objects for reporting and data visualization where applicable.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the AMS team.
• Stay current with SAP product roadmaps and emerging Group Reporting capabilities.

• Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Analysis for Office (AFO) and financial reporting dashboards.
• Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.
• Familiarity with IFRS 18 reporting standards.
• SAP certification in SAP S/4HANA Finance or Group Reporting.
• Experience working in a global, multi-entity consolidation environment.
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
