Job summary

Petersime nv, an international leader in incubators and hatchery technologies, seeks an SAP Functional Analyst to bridge business needs with IT strategy. You will manage lifecycle plans, coordinate SAP release waves, and work with BPOs and key users to implement standardised processes.

You will document solutions, contribute to ERP projects, and train BPOs from a train‑the‑trainer perspective while driving continuous improvement across the SAP landscape.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT or economics preferred.
• Three years' experience as a business or functional analyst in SAP.
• Analytical mindset with strong understanding of business processes.
• Excellent English communication; acts as bridge between business and IT.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Identify, understand and collect business needs in consultation with business users; feasibility of SAP S/4HANA.
• Develop functional designs based on Fit-to-Standard; support standardisation.
• Contribute to ERP projects; support BPOs and key users; validate features.
• Document processes and drive process improvements.
• Assess impact of change requests on budget and resources.
• Coordinate SAP Release Waves; organize regression tests.
• Document solutions and manage tests with BPOs and users.
• Provide second‑line support; coordinate service requests with stakeholders.

In an international B2B company, the ERP system is the heart of the organisation. As Functional Analyst SAP, you will ensure alignment between business and IT by communicating proactively and transparently. You will be responsible for life cycle management and monitor the roadmap, both in your daily activities and in specific projects.

The SAP Functional Analyst reports to the IT Manager and is part of the IT Team.

Your responsibilities

• You will identify, understand and collect business needs in consultation with business users and carry out feasibility studies. You will take into account the possibilities and limitations of SAP S/4HANA.
• You will draw up functional design definitions based on a Fit-to-Standard approach. In doing so, you take into account the (company) strategy: "keep the core clean" and standardisation based on best practices.
• You will be involved in ERP-related projects. You will support the BPOs and key users. You will validate (new) features together with them. You will ensure that a successful implementation is possible in accordance with the criteria set. If not, you will design a work-around in close consultation.
• You are able to document processes and introduce process improvements.
• You are able to assess the impact of change requests, both in terms of budget and resources.
• You will follow the SAP Release Waves, including the organisation and coordination of regression tests. You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting all types of updates in peripheral systems.
• You will be responsible for documenting implemented solutions, as well as organising and managing tests with BPOs and key users.
• You will be responsible for second-line support in support of BPOs and key users providing first-line support. You will ensure the follow-up and coordination of service requests and changes with stakeholders and external partners.
• You will organise and be responsible for training BPOs and key users from a train-the-trainer perspective.
• You will exchange ideas and expertise with your colleagues, specifically the IT Team and BPOs. You will promote the further development and optimisation of the ERP based on a process-oriented approach.

Your profile

• You have a Master's degree, preferably in IT or an economics field.
• You have three years' relevant experience as a business or functional analyst in an SAP environment.
• You are analytical and have a good understanding of business processes.
• You can communicate well in English. You form the bridge between business and IT.
• You take ownership and initiative.
• You can work independently, in a team and across teams.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
