Job summary

The Timberline Group is seeking an SAP ECC FI-CO Analyst to support daily SAP operations and drive process improvements within the finance and controlling areas.

Responsibilities include configuring, testing, and deploying FI-CO solutions, collaborating with ABAP developers and business SMEs, and delivering end-user training materials. A minimum of 5 years in SAP FI-CO and strong analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of extensive experience as an SAP ECC business analyst/configurator in the FI-CO module with knowledge of SAP data dictionary and common SAP tables.
• Production support knowledge and configuration experience in SAP FICO including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders and Product Costing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; experience with cross-functional SAP modules and integration.
• Familiar with accounting business processes; ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; coal or energy industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand relevant business processes and diagnose problems to resolve system errors.
• Perform configuration changes with testing and quality monitoring procedures.
• Lead interactive design and functional specification sessions with business units.
• Define scope and requirements for new developments to meet changing needs.
• Develop tests and training plans and materials for users.
• Write functional/technical specs for configurations and customizations.
• Develop user training programs and materials to improve productivity.
• Collaborate with ABAP programmers, BASIS Administrators and SAP technical resources to implement solutions.
• Position IT as a trusted business partner through effective relations.
• Work in team settings and independently to deliver SAP system improvements.
• Experience in coal or energy industry is a plus.
