You will guide technical strategy, oversee asset lifecycles, and ensure data governance while collaborating with business and IT partners. The role requires 7+ years in SAP EAM, PM, CS; two full SAP deployments; SAP EAM certification preferred; PMP/Agile a plus.

The SAP EAM Technical Lead/Manager is responsible for the technical architecture, development, and implementation of SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. This role provides technical leadership, oversees asset lifecycle processes, and ensures strong master data governance. The position partners with business and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that improve asset performance, streamline maintenance operations, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of SAP EAM solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Develop and oversee technical roadmaps and solution architectures for SAP EAM initiatives in collaboration with functional leads.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop technical team members while building overall team capabilities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving complex production support issues and evaluating SAP release notes and enhancements.
• Manage project planning, budgeting, and execution for SAP EAM implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Lead solution design sessions and technical workshops, translating complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.
• Oversee the technical configuration and integration of Linear Asset Management (LAM) to support the management of infrastructure and other linear assets.
• Design and manage integrations between SAP EAM and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), connecting geospatial information with asset master data.
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP EAM with other SAP modules, including Supply Chain Management (SCM), Materials Management (MM), and Financial Accounting/Controlling (FI/CO).

• Asset Management: Master Data Governance, Asset Lifecycle Management, and Asset Traceability.
• Work Management: Work Lifecycle, Scheduling, Dispatch, Mobile Work Execution, and Construction.
• Resource Management: Internal Workforce and External Contractor Management.
• Maintenance Management: Maintenance Planning, Testing, and Inspections.
• Spatial Data Management: Spatial Data Synchronization and Alignment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong technical and functional expertise in SAP EAM, particularly Plant Maintenance (PM) and Customer Service (CS), with proficiency in SAP S/4HANA EAM.
• Strong technical and functional knowledge of SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM), including Project System (PS) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
• Experience configuring EPPM for project scheduling, resource management, asset construction, and repair initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience integrating EPPM with EAM processes to support the full asset lifecycle.
• Experience integrating EPPM with SAP FI/CO for financial tracking and reporting.
• Deep understanding of asset lifecycles, including planning, procurement, construction, maintenance, and retirement.
• SAP EAM certification is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting (with a strong IT background), or a related field.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience working with SAP EAM, Plant Maintenance (PM), and/or Customer Service (CS).
• Experience with at least two full-lifecycle SAP implementations.

Certifications

• SAP EAM certification preferred.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach certifications are a plus.
