About the Role

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our capabilities in SAP data modernization and multi‑cloud integration. We are looking for an SAP Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and support reliable data integration solutions between SAP systems and modern cloud data platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of SAP technology, enterprise data engineering, and cloud architecture. The successful candidate will help clients unlock SAP data for analytics, BI, AI/ML, reporting, and operational use cases while ensuring secure, scalable, and well‑governed data flows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SAP Data Integration
  • Design, build, and operate data pipelines connecting SAP systems with cloud and enterprise data platforms.
  • Work with SAP integration and replication technologies such as SAP SLT, SAP Datasphere, SAP CPI / Integration Suite, SAP BTP connectivity services, and related SAP data tools.
  • Analyze SAP source systems, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, ODP, CDS views, ABAP tables, and core business data structures.
  • Implement secure connectivity patterns using tools and approaches such as SAP Cloud Connector, Private Link, VPN, and cloud‑native networking.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize end‑to‑end data flows across SAP, cloud, and BI/analytics layers.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data models and pipelines on modern cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Amazon Redshift, or equivalent technologies.
  • Use modern data engineering tools and frameworks such as dbt, Dataform, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Fivetran, Kafka, or similar platforms where appropriate.
  • Apply best practices for performance, cost optimization, reliability, automation, and maintainability.
  • Support CI/CD and version control practices for data pipelines and integration artifacts.
PROJECT/CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Architecture, Governance, and Documentation
  • Contribute to integration architecture across SAP and non‑SAP systems, including batch, CDC, streaming, API‑based, and event‑driven integration patterns.
  • Define practical ingestion, transformation, and replication strategies aligned with client requirements and operational constraints.
  • Document technical designs, data flows, lineage, operational procedures, and support handover materials.
  • Promote sound data governance, data quality, security, and compliance practices when handling client data.
Delivery
  • Support planning, technical decision‑making, risk identification, and delivery execution in project‑based and managed services environments.
  • Take ownership of technical topics from design through support, with attention to supportability and operational readiness.
COMMUNICATION/PRESENCE
  • Work closely with SAP Basis, functional teams, cloud architects, BI teams, security teams, project managers, and client stakeholders, including distributed teams.
  • Operate effectively in client‑facing environments, translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, helping stakeholders understand SAP data structures, integration options, governance considerations, and modernization roadmaps.
