Job summary

TRIGYN TECHNOLOGIES, INC. based in Westchester County, NY, seeks an experienced SAP Configuration Analyst to drive the ECC to S/4HANA transformation within Finance and its interfaces with procurement, billing, treasury, and project accounting.

The role requires hands-on configuration, testing, and documentation of FI/CO modules, data migration, and cutover activities, with collaboration across Finance, IT, and the implementation partner to deliver reliable, compliant SAP solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five to eight years of SAP functional experience including configuration and implementation.
• Experience in ECC to S/4HANA transition through go-live and stabilization preferred.
• Experience with data migration, testing, reconciliation, and cutover.

Responsibilities

• Assess current SAP ECC Finance processes and configurations; identify S/4HANA requirements and remediation strategies.
• Lead design workshops with stakeholders to define future-state processes and align S/4HANA Finance solutions.
• Design, configure, and validate S/4HANA Finance solutions including FI/CO, Asset Accounting, Controlling, and Project Accounting.
• Prepare and review specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows; coordinate with technical teams.
• Validate Finance-related changes including Universal Journal, CVI, and Business Partner integration where applicable.
• Define data migration requirements and support mock migrations and validation of results.

Our client – a major utility firm based out of Westchester County, NY – has an immediate need for an experienced SAP Configuration Analyst. The particulars of the position are as follows.

Project Overview

The SAP Configuration Analyst will provide hand-on functional support for company's transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, with a focus on Finance and its integration with procurement, billing, treasury, project accounting, and reporting. The role will be partnered with Finance, Information Technology, Procurement stakeholders and the implementation partner to translate business requirements into configured, tested, and documented S/4HANA solutions.

This position will support the full implementation lifecycle, including current-state assessment, future-state process design, configuration, data migration or conversion, integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization. The analyst will help preserve financial integrity and business continuity while improving processes, controls, automation, and the user experience. Primary functional scope includes Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Controlling, and Project Systems, with coordination across billing and analytics teams.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Assess current SAP ECC Finance processes and configurations; identify S/4HANA requirements, gaps, impacts, and remediation strategies to support the approved transformation scope.
• Actively participate in and facilitate design workshops with business stakeholders, process owners, and project teams to define future-state processes, validate business requirements, and align S/4HANA Finance solutions with organizational objectives.
• Design, configure, and validate S/4HANA Finance solutions, including organizational structures, posting rules, master data, payment processing, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Project Accounting, and other in-scope finance capabilities.
• Support functional design activities by preparing and reviewing specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and integrations; collaborate with technical and integration teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Validate Finance-related changes introduced by S/4HANA, including the Universal Journal, integrated Financial and Management Accounting, Asset Accounting, the Business Partner model, and Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI), as applicable.
• Define data migration and conversion requirements, including mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and testing of master data, open items, balances, assets, and project-related data; support mock migrations and validate conversion results.

Skills

• Hands-on expertise in SAP ECC and S/4HANA Finance configuration, particularly FI/CO.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA changes, including the Universal Journal, Business Partner model, and Asset Accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial controls, data reconciliation, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate, SAP Fiori, and implementation testing practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, identify implementation risks, and drive assigned deliverables through completion.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum five to eight years of SAP functional experience, including configuration and implementation.
• Participation in at least one ECC-to-S4HANA transition through go-live and stabilization preferred.
