Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing of stock and non-stock products to meet price, quality, and delivery standards. You will place requisitions, review GAINS forecasts, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal supply chain performance.

The role requires 1+ year in procurement, strong customer service, and proficiency with ERP and MS Office. CPM is preferred and independent work is expected in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business/finance or related field.
• 1+ year procurement experience preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• GAINS experience preferred; proficient with ERP and inventory systems.
• Mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and accurately.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Procure stock and non-stock items meeting price, quality and delivery standards.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor orders; monitor orders for timely delivery.
• Review forecasts and replenishments produced by GAINS; adjust as needed.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders to optimize delivery schedules.
• Negotiate returns for aging or excess inventory and coordinate liquidation.
• Maintain supplier relationships and communicate order status to stakeholders.
• Resolve account payables issues with suppliers as needed.
