Job summary

TRIGYN TECHNOLOGIES, INC. in New York is seeking an experienced SAP Fiori/ABAP developer to join the ERP delivery team, focusing on migrating to SAP S/4HANA and building Fiori apps on the ABAP CDS/BOPF stack.

You will design, develop, and maintain Fiori applications, OData services, and Work Zone components, collaborating with ERP staff on multi-project initiatives using BTP and private cloud extensions.

Qualifications

Background

The organization is undertaking a strategic ERP modernization initiative to migrate its existing SAP ECC landscape to SAP S/4HANA. The SAP Fiori consultant will report to ERP staff and will primarily support multiple concurrent projects with BTP/WorkZone, Fiori Development, specifically complex transactional apps utilizing ABAP CDS and BOPF, with a focus on SAP HCM and on S/4 Hana private could.

This position will serve to reinforce the ERP project's capacity for said development areas.

Responsibilities

As part of the Delivery team, and under the supervision of ERP staff, SAP BTP/WorkZone/Fiori and ABAP Developer will be responsible for the following duties:

• Support the design, development and maintenance of custom Work Zone sites together with S4HANA Private Cloud extensions (On-Stack or Side-By-Side)
• Supports the design, development and maintenance of SAP Fiori Applications, including architecture and implementation of the OData layer and Fiori UI components for the ERP solution.
• Develops Data services using ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) and Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF).
• Effectively analyses and supports the design of Fiori Applications and OData layer required by the project, including design, build, configure, testing, management of the existing Fiori Applications
• Develops OData layer to support Fiori Applications. This includes writing the necessary classes in ABAP in the OData layer, including BOPF determinations and validations.
• Creates Functional and Technical documentation.

Required Experience and skills:

A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in a full life cycle implementation of a SAP ERP [planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance], specifically:

BTP (required)

• Experience in BTP projects, general knowledge of BTP architecture (Global Accounts, Subaccount, Security, etc.)
• Experience in SAP Work Zone Spaces & Pages configuration, including the development of Content Packages w/ Integration Cards
• Understanding of SAP Work Zone Notification service.
• Experience in enabling Joule Work w/ SAP Work Zone Spaces and Pages
• Experience in developing Launchpad Plugins for SAP Work Zone

Experience in S4HANA Private Cloud:

• Migration Cockpit
• S4HANA Extensibility: On-Stack and Side by Side extensions, Key User Extensibility, Developer Extensibility, SAPUI5 adaptation projects
• Work Zone integration with Joule (Joule Studio for development of Skills and Agents)

FIORI development skills (required):

• SAPUI5 hands-on experience with a portfolio of multiple custom apps.
• Knowledge of architecture and best practices for SAP UX.
• Front End Development with SAPUI5, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Exposure to technologies such as Angular JS, React JS, VueJS
• Responsive UI design for mobile & tablets, including the Flexible Column Layout (FCL)
• Full Stack Development: Apps utilizing OData (REST), on SAP NetWeaver Gateway
• Knowledge of when to use different binding types, particularly oData bindings and JSON bindings.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code or Business Application Studio
• Working knowledge of source control solutions such as GIT

ABAP CDS/BOPF skills (required):

• Creating ABAP CDS Views for complex data models
• Data modeling and creation of Z-tables for custom data models
• Developing Data services using BOPF including programming ABAP classes to implement validations and determinations
• Experience with querying HANA hierarchy views from ABAP CDS
• Utilizing ABAP CDS Navigations and Input Parameters
• Knowledge of SAP HCM module and standard apps (including knowledge of HCM Processes & Forms framework)
• Experience in S4HANA Flexible Workflow

Other (desirable)

• Experience in extending the SAP solution by developing FRICEW objects (forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and workflow) using several of following tools: ABAP programming language, ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, user-exits and other related areas.
