About the opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of a global tier-1 IT services and consulting firm for a senior SAP Business Technology Platform Architect within its Enterprise Solutions practice. This is a leadership role focused on proactive value creation, digital transformation advisory, and enterprise architecture leadership across large-scale SAP programs.

You will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-grade SAP transformation programs on SAP BTP, defining strategic roadmaps, enabling Clean Core adoption, modernizing SAP landscapes, and delivering scalable cloud-native solutions across SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.

What you will do

BTP strategy and enterprise architecture. Define enterprise-wide BTP architecture, roadmap, governance, and adoption strategy. Develop end-to-end technical strategy for BTP transformation programs. Design extension architectures aligned to Clean Core principles for S/4HANA. Establish architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices for enterprise-wide adoption.

Application development and extensions. Architect side-by-side extensions using SAP CAP, Node.js, Java, Fiori/UI5, and SAP Build Applications. Design reusable extension frameworks and lead development teams building secure cloud-native applications and services.

Integration architecture. Lead enterprise integration strategy using SAP Integration Suite. Architect API-led, event-driven, and hybrid integration solutions using Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors. Architect integrations between SAP and platforms including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Azure, Maximo, and third-party SaaS.

Data, analytics, and AI. Guide enterprise data architecture using SAP Datasphere and HANA Cloud. Design analytics solutions on SAP Analytics Cloud. Define data governance and semantic modeling strategies. Drive adoption of SAP AI services, generative AI, and machine learning within BTP.

Security, governance, and DevOps. Establish governance, security, compliance, and operational standards for BTP environments. Define CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and deployment strategies. Drive scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization.

Leadership and stakeholder management. Mentor architects, developers, and technical leads across global delivery teams. Conduct architecture reviews and enforce governance. Lead executive workshops, solution reviews, and transformation roadmap discussions. Support proposal development, solution estimation, and pre-sales activity.

What you will bring

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

14+ years in SAP architecture and enterprise solution design.

5+ years hands-on with SAP Business Technology Platform.

Experience with SAP HANA Cloud, Datasphere, CAP, and extension frameworks.

Deep understanding of S/4HANA architecture and Clean Core strategy.

Strong expertise in Integration Suite, API Management, and Event Mesh.

Experience with CPI, Open Connectors, and enterprise integration patterns.

Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Experience integrating SAP with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Azure, and other SaaS platforms.

Preferred

SAP BTP Solution Architect, Integration Suite, or Extension Suite certification. TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification. Azure, AWS, or GCP architect certification. Exposure to SAP AI Core, Joule, and Build Process Automation.

Who this role is NOT for

This is not a functional SAP role. Candidates whose depth is in ECC or S/4HANA functional configuration (FICO, MM, SD, PP) without platform architecture ownership will not be a fit.

This is not an ABAP development or technical lead role. The position requires architecture ownership across a landscape, not in-stack development leadership.

This is not a general cloud or integration architect role. Non-SAP integration architects (MuleSoft, Boomi, TIBCO) without deep, current BTP and Integration Suite experience will not be considered.

This is not an entry point into SAP architecture. Candidates with BTP exposure limited to pilots, proofs of concept, or a single subscription-level deployment will not meet the bar.

This is not a purely delivery-side role. Comfort in client-facing advisory, executive workshops, and pre-sales solutioning is essential.
