Dow is seeking an SAP BPC/BW Senior Developer to join the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform team. The role supports BW on HANA, BPC planning, and data integration, with work primarily in Midland, MI or Houston, TX, and occasional virtual office arrangements.

You will collaborate with a global IT team to design, implement, and optimize SAP-based data solutions, drive digital transformation, and maintain end-to-end lifecycle management of planning and consolidation tools.

Formación

• 2+ years in native HANA V2.0

About the role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a SAP BPC/BW Senior Developer on the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform, Governance and Engineering team. This role can be located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX , however, a virtual office role may also be considered.

The SAP BPC/BW Senior Developer is responsible for managing a large-scale, complex data warehouse (BW on HANA), multiple planning applications in BPC 10, and data integration processes and technologies to help Dow’s businesses and functions achieve their objectives and accelerate Dow’s digital transformation. Under the guidance of technical focals and other senior developers, the SAP BPC/BW Senior Developer works hand-in-hand with a global, multi-disciplinary IT expert team to deliver innovative digital solutions. They develop, optimize, implement, and support solutions leveraging best-in-class SAP BW on HANA technologies using your SAP BPC, SAP BW and SAP HANA conceptual and practical knowledge. You will be responsible for the BPC planning and consolidation portfolio of solutions, managing the lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation/adoption, optimization, and end-of-life retirement) of digital solutions, while delivering advanced functional and business capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze issues and provide solutions for BPC applications
• Support users throughout the month end close and planning cycle
• Gather requirements with users and develop enhancements to fulfil business needs
• Deliver innovative digital solutions.
• Gather and analyze data to perform a functional and technical requirements analysis – with emphasis on experience, simplification, automation, efficiency, and reliability.
• Oversee the development, optimization, implementation, support, and adoption of solutions leveraging best-in-class mobile, web, desktop, cloud technologies.
• Identify opportunities for innovating with digital capabilities aiming to accelerate Dow’s digital transformation.
• End-to-End Integration – Coordinates with other Specialists for end-to-end process optimization and integration.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant or 5 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of proven relevant experience:
  • delivering solutions with SAP BW - BW 7.5 on HANA V2.0
  • delivering solutions with SAP BPC 10 standard, including Script Logic, BADIs and complex EPM Add-in input templates
  • delivering solutions with BI-IP Planning Functions and Planning Sequences
• A minimum of 2 years proven experience delivering solutions with native HANA V2.0 (including HANA views and Stored Procedures in SQL)
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred qualifications

• A degree discipline in IT, Computer Science, or other Engineering Disciplines
• ABAP debugging for BW and BPC
• Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 on DB2
• Integration experience SAP BODS
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology and Design Thinking
• A minimum of 2 years functional process and data experience with SAP FI and CO is highly desired.
