Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced SAP Basis professional to support S/4HANA migrations, upgrades, and OS/DB migrations in large, enterprise settings.

You will lead Brownfield/Bluefield migration efforts, partner with cloud teams for Azure lift‑and‑shift initiatives, and ensure SAP HANA reliability across Dev/Test/QA/Prod landscapes. Linux skills and prior enterprise experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands‑on SAP Basis experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations and upgrades.
• Proven experience with OS/DB migrations, including database transitions (e.g., BD2 SQL Server).
• Experience supporting SAP HANA as the primary database platform.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud migrations, specifically lift‑and‑shift SAP workloads to Azure.
• Solid working knowledge of Linux (does not require admin‑level expertise).
• Experience working in large organizations with complex SAP implementations.

• Support SAP S/4HANA migrations and upgrades across multiple environments.

• Execute OS/DB migrations and lift‑and‑shift to Microsoft Azure.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud teams to align SAP workloads with Azure architecture.
• Participate in incident management, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support SAP HANA databases to maintain performance, stability, and availability.
• Work in large, complex SAP landscapes across Dev/Test/QA/Prod environments.

Job description

Support SAP S/4HANA migrations and upgrades, including:

Brownfield and Bluefield migrations

Parallel and standalone S/4 migration efforts

Lead and support S/4HANA migrations for India Retail, including system upgrades and carve‑outs

Execute OS/DB migration projects, including:

Lift‑and‑shift of SAP systems to Microsoft Azure

PR4 migration from DB2 to SQL Server

Manage and support SAP HANA databases, ensuring performance, stability, and availability

Work across multiple SAP environments (Dev/Test/QA/Prod) in large, complex system landscapes

Perform system copy/refresh activities and support go‑lives and cutovers

Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to align SAP workloads with Azure architecture

Participate in incident management, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications (Must‑Have)

6–8 years of hands‑on SAP Basis experience in enterprise environments

Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations and upgrades

Proven experience with OS/DB migrations, including database transitions (e.g., BD2 SQL Server)

Experience supporting SAP HANA as the primary database platform
