This role manages application and database operations, supports controlled system changes, and collaborates with technical teams to sustain performance, availability, and security. Core duties include administering SAP environments and HANA databases across development, testing, and production; monitoring system health, capacity, and alerts; planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least five years of SAP experience.
• Experience supporting federal government programs.
• Proficiency in SAP Basis administration and HANA.
• Experience with backups, performance analysis, OS, and controlled maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Administer SAP environments and HANA databases across environments.
• Monitor system health, performance, and alerts.
• Plan and execute installations, patches, upgrades, transports.
• Manage backups, recovery, and DR exercises.
• Coordinate access, certificates, and security remediations.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.

Position Summary

K.L. Scott & Associates, LLC seeks an SAP Basis and HANA Administrator to maintain dependable SAP environments for federal clients. This role manages application and database operations, supports controlled system changes, and works with technical teams to sustain performance, availability, and security.

Core Responsibilities

• Administer SAP application environments and HANA databases across development, testing, and production.
• Monitor system health, database performance, background jobs, capacity, and operational alerts.
• Plan and execute approved installations, patches, upgrades, system refreshes, and transport activities.
• Manage backups and recovery procedures and participate in disaster recovery exercises.
• Coordinate access administration, certificate maintenance, hardening, and remediation with security personnel.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and maintain configuration records and operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience working on the SAP platform.
• At least 20 years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting federal government programs.
• Proficiency in SAP Basis administration, HANA database operations, transport management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with backup and recovery, performance analysis, operating systems, and controlled maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Student Lifecycle Management (SLcM) and Federal Department of War (DOW) programs is preferred
• Secret Clearance eligible.
