Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an SAP Architect to design and govern enterprise API, integration, and MCP architectures that enable secure connectivity between SAP platforms, AI agents, and enterprise services. The role emphasizes secure SAP API solutions, abstraction, orchestration, and authentication layers for enterprise applications and AI agents.

You will lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and drive MCP development while collaborating in Agile Scrum ceremonies to align with governance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SAP enterprise architecture.
• 3+ years of experience exposing and securing SAP business capabilities through APIs.
• Understanding of SAP security and API mechanics.
• (.NET) coding experience designing secure MCP architectures enabling AI agents.
• Experience leading architecture reviews, code reviews, and implementation assessments.
• Experience building enterprise IAM solutions using Microsoft Entra ID.
• AI experience with Cursor or Claude.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an SAP Architect to work remotely for one of our customers in the Kansas City area. This role is responsible for designing and governing enterprise API, integration, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) architectures that enable secure, scalable connectivity between business applications, AI agents, SAP platforms, and enterprise services. The architect defines enterprise standards, reference architectures, and implementation patterns while leading architecture reviews to ensure alignment with business objectives, governance requirements, and security best practices. A key focus of the position is designing secure SAP API and integration solutions, including abstraction, orchestration, and authentication layers that allow enterprise applications and AI agents to consume SAP services without direct system or credential access. This individual provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and architects, guiding best practices in API architecture, Azure API Management, Entra ID, MCP development, and SAP integrations. This person will actively participates in Agile Scrum ceremonies, develop MCP solutions, and research/resolves defects identified during development and production support activities.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with SAP enterprise architecture
• 3+ years of experience of exposing and securing SAP business capabilities through API's
• Understands how SAP security and API's work
• .NET coding experience having designed secure MCP (model context protocol) architectures that enable AI agents
• Experience leading architecture reviews, code reviews, ad implementation assessments
• Has architected enterprise IAM solutions using Microsoft Entra ID
• AI experience: Cursor or Claude
