Job summary

Confidential in New Jersey seeks a senior SAP IT consultant to lead SAP SD/LE modules, end-to-end order management, and logistics execution. You will collaborate with business process owners to design, configure, test and deploy solutions that meet the business needs.

Responsibilities include documenting configurations, developing test scenarios, delivering trainings, supporting user issues, and ensuring IT operations stability across a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Minimum 5 years of functional SAP experience with hands-on configuration.
• Expertise in SAP SD/LE; end-to-end sales order management.
• Experience with Order-To-Cash, IDOC monitoring and error analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP Logistics Execution and related processes.
• Knowledge of SAP SD, WM, MM, and FI integration points.
• ABAP familiarity; willingness to learn other modules.
• Experience with interfaces using BAPI, IDOC; EDI desirable.
• Strong documentation and training delivery skills.
• Independent, detailed, team-oriented, and good communicator.

Job description

• Participating in strategic business initiatives to deliver new SAP system functionality
• Managing tasks through all project lifecycle phases (Requirements Gathering and Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment and Support) for IT initiatives
• Identifying Gaps between AS-IS and TO-BE business processes and fixing the Gaps by means of optimized solutions
• Working cohesively with Business Process Owners to ensure business process design and supporting SAP configuration and developments are in line with the business needs
• Exploring, understanding and implementing new SAP modules and functionalities
• Documenting current configuration and maintaining proper level of documentation for all changes including specifications and testing documentation
• Participating in testing activities including, but not limited to, creating test scenarios, cases and scripts, as well as executing unit testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing
• Providing application maintenance and support by means of timely response to user issues and requests via different channels, maintaining and processing all resolution details in the Help Desk system
• Conducting and facilitating meetings and presentations to business users
• Creating training materials and deliver training
• Collaborating with other team members to design and deploy effective IT solutions
• Ensuring stability and continuity in IT operations

Experience & Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Must be legally authorized to work in US for any employer without VISA sponsorship (US citizen or Green Card holder)
• Minimum 5 years functional SAP experience, including hands on SAP configuration
• Expertise in SAP SD/LE modules with specialization on end to end sales order management process, outbound delivery, billing, customer master, Item category determination, pricing procedures and output determination
• Experience supporting Order-To-Cash processes including, order creation through interfacing systems, IDOC monitoring and error analysis. Knowledge in SAP table structures, queries, table directories, etc.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP Logistics Execution functionality including inbound and outbound processes and internal warehouse processes
• Knowledgeable in the integration points between SAP SD, WM, MM, and FI
• AFS experience is a plus
• Experience with requirements gathering, solution design, development and deployment
• Experience with interfaces using BAPI, IDOC
• Experience with EDI highly desirable
• Experience with Vertex Indirect Tax software is desirable
• Familiarity with ABAP programming language is desirable
• Willingness and flexibility to learn and support other SAP modules (WM, MM, FI, etc.)
• Experience in business process design concepts and principles.
• Ability to produce clearly written, well-organized documentation
• Independent, detail oriented and a strong team player. Proven individual contributor and collaborator within the team
