Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with strong experience in Plan to Produce (PP) and Production Planning processes. The role focuses on ABAP development in SAP ECC and S/4HANA, with emphasis on high-quality, scalable technical solutions for manufacturing and production.

Responsibilities include designing and enhancing ABAP objects, creating reports, handling integrations via BAPIs and IDocs, and aligning PP/QM requirements with technical design.

Qualifications

• Strong ABAP development experience (RICEF, OO ABAP).
• Experience with ABAP objects in SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Exposure to PP/PP‑PI related processes and modules.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance ABAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Develop ALV, classical and interactive reports; build module pool programs and custom transactions.
• Implement BADIs, User Exits, enhancements; maintain integrations via BAPIs, RFC, IDocs.

We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with strong experience in Plan to Produce (P2P) / Production Planning processes.

Responsibilities include developing and enhancing ABAP objects in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, supporting manufacturing and production processes through high-quality, scalable technical solutions.

• BADIs, Enhancements, User Exits

Functional Knowledge

• Strong hands‑on experience in Plan to Produce / SAP PP: MRP, BOM, Routing, Production Orders, Shop Floor / Manufacturing Execution

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

ABAP Development

• Design, develop, and enhance ABAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Develop classical, interactive, and ALV reports using procedural and OO ABAP.
• Create module pool programs and custom transactions where required.

Enhancements & Integrations

• Implement BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Spots (implicit/explicit).
• Develop and maintain integrations using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and APIs.
• Work on output forms (SmartForms, SAPscript, Adobe Forms).

Plan to Produce (PP) Functional Alignment

• Collaborate with PP/QM functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Support manufacturing processes including production planning (MRP, BOM, Routing), shop floor execution (Production Orders, Confirmations), quality management (Inspection lots, results recording), inventory movements (GI/GR for Production).

S/4HANA & Advanced ABAP

• Develop S/4HANA‑ready ABAP objects including CDS Views, performance‑optimized Open SQL, code remediation for migration, exposure to RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).

Testing & Support

• Perform unit testing, support SIT/UAT cycles, and resolve defects.
• Provide production support and handle critical business cycles.

Documentation & Governance

• Prepare technical specifications (TS), design documents, and code review artifacts.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, best practices, and Clean Core principles.

Good to Have Skills

• SAP QM integration with PP
• SAP Fiori / UI5 exposure
• SAP BTP / RAP / APIs exposure
• Experience in Greenfield or Brownfield S/4HANA implementations

Generic Managerial Skills, If any

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Development experience with onsite/offshore teams.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 to $130,000 Per Annum
