Job summary

Dorman Products in the United States seeks an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, test, and support SAP custom solutions, workflows, and integrations for logistics and order-to-cash processes.

This offshore role requires strong ABAP expertise with OOABAP, IDoc/ALE interfaces, and the ability to deliver moderately complex developments while collaborating with cross-functional teams in the U.S. market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, MIS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development across multiple life cycles.
• Strong OO ABAP experience with classes, interfaces and inheritance.
• Experience with ABAP Dictionary, reports, ALV/SALV, forms and background processing.
• Proficiency with IDoc/ALE inbound/outbound development and support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and support SAP reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows.
• Build modular OO ABAP solutions using best practices and reusable components.
• Develop inbound/outbound IDoc/ALE interfaces and manage extensions and configurations.
• Analyze requirements, prepare technical specs and estimates, deliver with limited supervision.
• Support Logistics Execution and OTC processes, including orders, deliveries, shipping, and billing.
• Perform peer reviews, debugging, and performance investigations; ensure quality.
• Prepare unit test evidence, transports, deployment docs, and runbooks.
