Job summary

SGS Consulting in Maryland is seeking a hands-on SAP ABAP Integrations Developer to design and implement ABAP-based integrations, focusing on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and payroll/finance data flows.

You will translate functional specs into scalable solutions, maintain documentation, and collaborate across analysts, vendors, and stakeholders in an Agile setting, with opportunities to optimize processes and automate where possible.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on SAP ABAP development
• Expertise in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) integrations
• Solid understanding of SAP EC/ECP data flows and data structures
• Proven ability to translate functional specifications into scalable, reliable integrations
• Experience developing and maintaining payroll and finance integrations
• Knowledge of change-control and release management processes
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and/or SAP ABAP certification
• Familiarity with APIs, middleware, SQL, Power Query, or Python (preferred)
• Experience with RPA or AI-driven development tools (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP ABAP integrations based on functional specifications and business requirements
• Modify existing integrations based on feedback, defects, and changing business needs
• Maintain and update technical and integration documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll integration defects, collaborating with business analysts, vendors, and functional stakeholders
• Follow established change-control procedures for all integration updates and enhancements
• Provide clear, business-focused status updates to the Integrations Manager and project leadership
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate processes, improve code efficiency, and enhance data quality
• Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog refinement (as applicable)
