Job summary

Westernacher Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to lead strategic transformation programs and deliver successful projects across local, regional, and global engagements. The role focuses on AMS support, ABAP development, and S/4HANA platforms with a hybrid work model.

You will collaborate with functional teams to resolve issues, design solutions, and coordinate with global delivery teams to ensure timely delivery and upgrade safety across SAP landscapes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of hands on ABAP development, including at least 2 years on S/4HANA
• Proven AMS or production support experience, comfortable handling P1 incidents under time pressure
• Hands on with ABAP on HANA: Open SQL, CDS views, AMDP, OData services
• Working knowledge of S/4HANA Public Cloud extensibility: ABAP Cloud, RAP, released APIs, ABAP Development Tools (Eclipse)
• Solid debugging skills and familiarity with core logistics and finance processes (SD, MM, FI)
• Experience with interfaces (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, REST/SOAP APIs)

Responsibilities

• AMS support: act as main technical contact for AMS accounts
• Resolve issues with functional consultants: debugging, ST22 dumps, job failures, IDoc and interface errors
• Coordinate with the Westernacher India development team; assign and review work; provide backup cover
• Perform root cause analysis and document fixes, workarounds and known errors
• Participate in an on call or standby rota for critical incidents
• Estimate, design, build and unit test ABAP solutions for change requests
• Prepare technical specifications and support testing and cutover
• Manage transports and releases following customer change management processes

As we continue to strengthen our team in Southeast Asia, we are seeking an experienced SAP Fico Consultant to lead strategic transformation programs and drive successful project delivery across local, regional, and global engagements.

How you will make an impact:

AMS support (primary focus)

• Act as the main technical contact for AMS accounts, owning P1 and P2 technical incidents within agreed SLAs
• Work with functional consultants to analyse and resolve issues: debugging, short dumps (ST22), job failures, IDoc and interface errors, performance problems
• Coordinate with the Westernacher India development team, assigning and reviewing work and providing backup cover so critical tickets are never left unattended
• Perform root cause analysis and document fixes, workarounds and known errors
• Participate in an on call or standby rota for critical incidents

Change requests and enhancements

• Estimate, design, build and unit test ABAP solutions for CRs
• Prepare technical specifications and support functional consultants during testing and cutover
• Manage transports and releases following customer change management processes

Platform coverage

• S/4HANA Private Cloud: classic and modern ABAP (reports, enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, forms, interfaces, CDS views, OData)
• S/4HANA Public Cloud: developer extensibility (ABAP Cloud, RAP, released APIs), key user extensibility, and side by side extensions on SAP BTP where needed
• Apply the clean core principles so customers remain upgrade safe

Your Expertise:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of hands on ABAP development, including at least 2 years on S/4HANA
