Job summary

SAP is seeking a Technical Project Manager to drive ABAP AI initiatives, coordinating across engineering, partners, and external resources. You will enable AI enablement, manage vendor relationships, and report progress to senior leadership.

The role requires SAP ABAP/S/4HANA knowledge, experience with Fieldglass, and strong stakeholder management in a fast-paced enterprise environment. Location is Germany with a 14-month duration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical project management within SAP or enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of SAP technologies, particularly ABAP and S/4HANA.
• Experience with external workforce management tools (e.g., Fieldglass).
• Exposure to AI/GenAI, copilots, or agent-based frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of ABAP AI initiatives with timely, high-quality results.
• Coordinate testing activities including S/4HANA and integration testing with partner platforms.
• Drive alignment across engineering teams through regular syncs and progress tracking.
• Manage onboarding and lifecycle of external consultants via Fieldglass.
• Act as central point of contact for external workforce governance and compliance.
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and maintenance for external resources.
• Drive internal enablement initiatives and rollout sessions for ABAP AI.
• Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to ensure adoption across teams.
• Prepare and deliver structured updates for senior leadership.
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies across initiatives.
• Coordinate multiple ABAP AI programs and ensure cross-functional alignment.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Project Manager, you will drive the delivery and enablement of strategic ABAP AI initiatives while ensuring seamless coordination across engineering teams, partners, and external workforce.

Your Key Responsibilities Include

Project Delivery & Coordination

• Lead end-to-end execution of ABAP AI initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Coordinate testing activities including S/4HANA testing and integration testing with partner platforms and AI-based orchestrators
• Drive alignment across engineering teams through regular syncs and progress tracking

External Workforce & Vendor Management

• Manage onboarding and lifecycle of external consultants via Fieldglass and internal processes
• Act as the central point of contact for external workforce governance, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and maintenance activities for external resources

ABAP AI Enablement & Rollout

• Drive internal enablement initiatives, including digital workspaces and knowledge-sharing platforms
• Lead enablement programmers such as video-based learning and internal rollout sessions
• Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to ensure successful adoption across teams

Executive Communication & Reporting

• Prepare and deliver structured updates for senior leadership
• Track progress, risks, and dependencies across multiple initiatives

Program & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a central coordination point for multiple ABAP AI-related initiatives (e.g., AI platforms, hubs, and agent-based frameworks)
• Ensure alignment across parallel workstreams and manage cross-functional dependencies
• Support onboarding and governance of AI-driven initiatives, ensuring adherence to organizational processes and guidelines

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in technical project management within SAP or enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of SAP technologies, particularly ABAP and S/4HANA
• Experience with external workforce management tools (e.g., Fieldglass)
• Exposure to AI/GenAI, copilots, or agent-based frameworks is a strong advantage
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level reporting
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
