Job summary

SCN BestCo is seeking a sanitation associate for a 12‑hour day shift. The role involves daily cleaning, logging duties, restocking supplies, and maintaining hygiene across restrooms, dressing areas, canteen and production zones.

You will handle cleaning equipment and support food safety standards in a GMP environment. Minimum qualification includes a High School Diploma or GED, with 3+ months of sanitation experience in food processing or hospitality preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
• Able to operate heavy floor cleaning equipment safely.
• Ability to lift 20–30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible hours and overtime as needed are required.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and logging of all assigned duties in log book.
• Clean facility restrooms, replenish supplies (paper, soap, sanitizer).
• Clean shoe sanitizing areas and refill sanitizing mats and hand sanitizers.
• Restock hair net and ear plug stations daily.
• Clean canteen areas, mop floors, wipe surfaces and manage waste.

Essential Duties

• Daily cleaning and logging of all assigned duties on log book.
• Daily cleaning of all facility restrooms, to include cleaning of lavatories, toilets, shower and moping of floors. Fill paper towel, toilet paper dispenser, soap and sanitizer.
• Daily cleaning of shoe sanitizing areas, refilling sanitizing mats and hand sanitizer stations.
• Daily cleaning and restocking of hair net and ear plug stations.
• Daily cleaning of Canteen, emptying waste cans, sweeping and mopping, wiping down of microwaves, counters, and regular table cleanup as scheduled.
• Windows in non-food production areas (lobby, canteen, doors in hallways) to be cleaned as needed.
• Daily mopping of central hallway as needed.
• Daily or Weekly inventory of supplies and ordering per min/max cycle.
• Periodically strip and wax all floors.
• Spreading of ice melt during inclement weather.
• Other special tasks as directed.

SOP Training Requirements (hourly positions only)

Take all SOP trainings as required to perform job.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Ability to lift 20-30lbs and walk, stand, stoop and bend for extended periods of time
• Available to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications (Education and Experience)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 months of sanitation experience in a food processing, commercial cleaning, hospital, or hospitality industry

Preferred Qualifications

• More than 1 year of sanitation experience with understanding of FDA regulations.
• General understanding of cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of cGMP's, cleaning procedures and food safety regulatory requirement.
