Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Clayton, NC, is seeking a manufacturing associate to perform sanitization of aseptic processing areas (APA) cleanrooms and maintain stock of cleanroom supplies. The role reports to a supervisor/manager and involves maintaining aseptic areas, environmental monitoring, and supporting safety and compliance programs.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand complicated product documentation and SOPs with attention to detail.
• Strong documentation practices and GDP awareness are valued.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic areas and perform sanitizations and environmental monitoring.
• Actively participate in and support event response.
• Review and provide input to SOPs and other documents as required.
• Train fellow employees in areas of expertise and learn systems and equipment beyond own area.
• Record and review data in BPRs and associated forms using good documentation practices.
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
• Other accountabilities, as assigned.

The Position

Perform sanitization of aseptic processing area (APA) cleanrooms and maintain adequate stocks of cleanroom supplies.

Relationships

Reports to Supervisor/Manager.

Essential Functions

• Maintain aseptic areas & perform sanitizations & environmental monitoring


• Actively participate in & support event response


• Review & provide input to SOP’s & other documents, as required


• Train fellow employees in areas of expertise & aggressively learn systems & equipment outside of own area of expertise


• Record/review data in BPR’s & associated forms utilizing good documentation practices (GDP)


• Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties


• Other accountabilities, as assigned

Physical Requirements

Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environments. Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks. Does not require a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Associate's Degree in related field preferred


• Minimum of one (1) year experience in manufacturing industry, FDA regulated preferred. (Requirement can be waived with BioWorks Certification, or minimum of an associate degree in related field) preferred


• Aseptic processing experience a plus


• Ability to read, write & understand complicated product documentation & standard operating procedures with attention to detail preferred


• Proven expertise in planning/organizing, managing execution, checking results & revising work plans a plus
