Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join an outgoing team at our Orlando facility. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits with a focus on safety and efficiency in a climate-controlled but non-air-conditioned warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading and ability to follow directions required.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in cleaning and sanitation of surfaces and areas.
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks as needed.
• Use a warehouse management system to electronically scan products.
• Transport stored items using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues; follow safety rules.
• Complete daily sanitation logs and other tasks as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable
• Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis
• Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements
• Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.
• Complete daily sanitation logs
• Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties
• Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipmen
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
