Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center is hiring a Sanitation Worker to support Food and Nutrition Services by ensuring safe storage of food and supplies and maintaining a clean, orderly storeroom and kitchen areas.

You will assist with inventory, daily orders, tray line support, and prompt delivery of meals to nursing areas, contributing to a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler Permit must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper storage of food and non-food received.
• Maintain the storage area in a clean and orderly manner according to regulatory guidelines and document corrective action if needed.
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Stock the cafeteria and service areas with required service ware and food items to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation.
• Assist with monthly inventory, daily orders and maintaining all kitchen utensils, equipment and physical surfaces in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Assist with tray line, delivery of food and late tray carts to the nursing areas daily.
