Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Nutrition Care Assistant to join our Food and Nutrition Services team. You will support cafeteria operations, help ensure patients and guests receive meals with accuracy, and uphold food safety standards.

You will perform duties across areas such as cafeteria service, tray line support, stocking items, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area while adhering to schedules that promote work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year food service experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve cafeteria meals and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain dining room and beverage area in a neat and sanitary manner.
• Replenish food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels.
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Accurately complete all reports, cleaning checklists and temperature logs.
• Remove trash from the cafeteria and main kitchen according to schedule and as needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Food Service Workers in our Food and Nutrition Services department may perform assigned duties in one or more of the following areas: Cafeteria Server, Catering, Cold Production, Porter, Tray line Support, Late Tray Delivery, Storeroom Clerk and/or Floor Stock Attendant. All FNS team members adhere to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The hospital dining schedule features hours and shifts that create a great work -life balance. Your food service experience and commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive experience for our patients, visitors and colleagues.

What you will do in this role
