Job summary

Country Archer is seeking a Sanitation Worker in San Bernardino, CA to perform cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, follow 7-step wet wash, and comply with USDA regulations. Must have at least 6 months of sanitation experience in food/beverage, GMPs and SOPs, and LOTO knowledge.

The role requires lifting 15–50 lbs, standing and walking for long periods, and adherence to safety procedures. This is a full-time position at Country Archer.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ sanitation experience in food/beverage/pharma.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written work instructions.
• Takes initiative to work without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Detail cleaning of processing equipment (utensils, tanks, totes, conveyors, packers, slicers, tumblers, pipes, cooling units, walls, floors, drains, ceilings).
• Maintain outside waste area and perimeter.
• Apply 7-step wet wash approach for food safety cleaning.
• Comply with company policies, chemicals and safety procedures.
• May assemble/disassemble processing equipment.
• Return production areas and equipment to production in a timely manner.
• Transport trash and waste for disposal.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Wear all required PPE during sanitation cleaning.
• Know and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Complete thorough pre-op cleaning of raw department within 6 hours with 2 people.
• Ensure room rinsed, washed, and sanitized before lunch.
• Complete pre-op cleaning of packaging dept within 7 hours with 3 people.
• Complete pre-op cleaning of oven room within 2.5 hours with 2 people.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $21.00 Hourly

Perform all tasks involved in the production of Country Archer's products. This includes cleaning and sanitizing machinery, tables, and rack. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Must comply with regulations set forth by Country Archer and USDA. May come in contact with chemicals that are for food safety cleaning and sanitation. Will need to be able to lift, push, and pull items between 15 and 50 pounds. Position requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, squatting and twisting frequently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for detail cleaning of processing equipment including, production utensils, tanks, totes, conveyors, packers, slicers, tumblers, overhead pipes, cooling units, walls, floors, drains, ceiling etc.
• Responsible for maintaining outside waste area and perimeter.
• Must use the 7 steps to effectively wet wash during cleaning to maintain Food Safety and Pest Control.
• Must comply with all company and quality policies and chemical and safety procedures.
• May be required to assemble and disassemble processing equipment.
• Work in a timely manner to return production areas and equipment back to production.
• Responsible for transporting trash and other waste for disposal.
• Able to communicate problems or concerns with appropriate personnel.
• Wear all proper protective equipment during sanitation cleaning.
