Job summary

The City of Florence is seeking a Sanitation Worker to perform outdoor, manual labor collecting curbside garbage, yard waste, and recyclables. The role requires lifting heavy weights and enduring outdoor conditions across a 40-hour work week.

Earn $16.12 per hour with a 40-hour schedule and no fixed closing date beyond “Until Filled.” Background checks and a pre-employment medical screening are required for all candidates.

Must have a willingness to perform routine manual work; an ability to lift heavy weights, and physical endurance adequate with the demands of the position.
