Job description

As a sanitation team member, you will keep the entire operation running smoothly! In this position, you’ll provide excellent service to the warehouse by responding quickly and efficiently to calls regarding spills, breaks, or other accidents, as well as maintaining the general upkeep of the facility. If you prefer a behind-the-scenes, hands-on role, this could be the perfect position for you!

What will I do?

• Maintain the facility’s cleanliness and communicate potential hazards to management
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls, attending to spills, breaks, clogged drains, etc.
• Perform tasks such as cleaning and restocking restrooms, vacuuming carpets, sweeping floors, and emptying trash
• Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently, including keeping the warehouse floor clear of debris, cleaning, and restocking supplies
• Operate equipment safely, including ride-on and walk-behind pallet jacks, forklifts, and floor scrubbers; perform basic preventative maintenance
• Manage cardboard and plastic balers and compactors, load pallets and recyclables onto trailers
• Organize and maintain supply rooms and maintenance stations to ensure quick access to supplies
• Follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines, SSOPs, and company policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Custodial/janitorial experience
• Experience using a forklift and pallet jack
• Warehouse experience
