Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe facility across dry, cooler, and freezer areas. You will support America's food distribution system by performing janitorial tasks and adhering to health and safety policies.

Responsibilities include completing work to policy, reporting hazards, handling cleaning chemicals, and participating in safety training modules.

Qualifications

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

• Operates cleaning duties in dry, cooler, and freezer areas.
• Maintains clean and safe workplace per health and safety policies.
• Reports unsafe conditions immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Handles cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Completes all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments timely and accurately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
