Job summary

Vistar, America's leading candy, snack, and beverage distributor, is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe working environment at our Swedesboro, NJ facility. You will perform general janitorial tasks in dry, cooler, and freezer areas, follow health and safety policies, and support daily sanitation operations to keep the distribution center running smoothly.

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6+ months of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience required. Experience performing light maintenance tasks and small repairs, with the ability to safely use basic hand tools and assist with routine facility upkeep, preferred.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• 1+ years general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in warehouse environment. Experience performing light maintenance tasks and small repairs, with the ability to safely use basic hand tools and assist with routine facility upkeep, preferred.
• Pallet jack experience

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
