Job summary

Cargill is hiring for a Full Time Sanitation position at the Nebraska City, NE facility. Shifts available: 2nd and 3rd. Compensation ranges from $20.90 to $22.40 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to a safe, sanitary, high-quality food production environment.

Eligible candidates must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States; prior sanitation experience at a food processing plant is preferred. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience in sanitation at a food processing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor-intensive sanitation and housekeeping using specialized equipment, following sanitation schedules and safety procedures.
• Maintain sanitary conditions, follow government regulations, and ensure lockout/tagout procedures are respected.
• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks such as shoveling snow, painting, and ordering supplies as needed.
• Complete sanitation-related inspections and ensure paperwork is filed accurately and on time.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals with proper PPE and equipment usage.
• Perform detailed sanitation tasks including scraping, sweeping, scrubbing, and disassembling equipment as needed.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with procedures and support team members as required.

Principal Accountabilities

• Perform laborintensive sanitation and housekeeping processes using specialized sanitation equipment in accordance with established sanitation schedules, safety procedures, and food safety regulations, working with minimal oversight
• Adhere to safe work practices, applicable government regulations, and company guidelines to maintain sanitary conditions, ensure product quality, and ensure all lockout and tagout procedures are followed
• Perform basic maintenance and facilitiessupport tasks inside and outside the facility, including shoveling snow and salt, painting handrails and pipes, and ordering supplies as needed
• Ensure and support completion of scheduled inspections of sanitationrelated equipment, including steam and tempered water hoses
• Ensure all required production and sanitation paperwork is completed accurately and on time
• Safely contain and proactively address potential issues related to the storage, handling, and usage of cleaning chemicals, including proper use of required PPE and operation of specialized sanitation equipment
• Perform detailed sanitation activities including scraping, shoveling, sweeping, soaping, spraying, power washing, sanitizing, scrubbing, lifting, carrying, pushing containers, and disassembling and reassembling equipment
• Remove and properly dispose of waste debris such as trash, paper, insulation, and chemical waste drums in accordance with established procedures
• Provide support and informal guidance to other sanitation team members as needed
• Provide back-up for Sanitation Lead as needed, fulfilling all Lead job duties as required
• Perform other sanitation or facilitiesrelated duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience performing sanitation duties at a Cargill facility
