Job summary

SidWainer is looking for a dependable processing assistant at our New Bedford facility. You will clean, wash and sanitize meat, seafood and poultry processing areas and maintain a safe workspace following established procedures.

Responsibilities include prepping rooms, powering down machines, breaking down equipment for cleaning, removing waste, and applying approved detergents and sanitizers. A high school diploma and 1–3 months of experience are required, with weekly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 months of experience in processing or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Prep Processing room for washing
• Power down machines using appropriate procedures
• Break down equipment for cleaning
• Remove cardboard, trash bags, inedible from processing rooms
• Use high and low pressure water wash systems with water temperature between 120-140F
• Use proper detergent and sanitizing chemicals following MSDS procedures
• Ability to read labels for chemical identification
