Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring for a full-time sanitation role in a food manufacturing environment. Starting pay $19.50 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., plus weekly Friday pay.

The position offers a strong benefits package and opportunities for advancement. You will operate steam and high-pressure hoses, clean and sanitize equipment, follow sanitation schedules, and document chemical use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0–1 year of related experience in sanitation or food manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, GMPs).
• Ability to follow regulatory and company sanitation policies.
• Willingness to work full-time and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment to remove soil and contaminants per procedures.
• Operate COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Use and document chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verify and document that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and cleaning is complete.
