Job description

Sanitation Technician

New hires are eligible for a $2,500 Sign-on Bonus for this position.

The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sanitation tasks in compliance with the site's master sanitation schedule.

The associate will evaluate and maintain the sanitary conditions of the facility in accordance with Quality and Food Safety standards.

What are we looking for?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant work experience
• Comfortable working at heights up to 20 ft using lifts
• Ability to work in hot temperatures and dusty environments
• Physical ability to perform duties for an 8-hour shift, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking on concrete surfaces
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food service environment preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and GMPs

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Support and promote the company’s health and safety program, maintaining a safe working environment
• Perform sanitation activities as defined by Sanitation SOPs
• Implement MSS, Rapid Clean, ATP swabbing, and record-keeping
• Perform detailed dry cleaning of large areas, workspaces, and manufacturing equipment
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently
• Assist in maintaining high cleanliness levels following GMPs and PPE requirements
• Prioritize daily work based on urgency and area awareness
• Support non-routine tasks, projects, testing, and upset events
• Accurately document all cleaning activities
• Help meet or exceed sanitation goals
• Ensure sanitation tools and supplies are available and properly stored
• Understand microbiological and pest control practices relevant to food manufacturing
• Collaborate with teams on sanitation, pest control, and housekeeping projects
• Work in enclosed spaces as needed
• Recommend improvements in methods, equipment, and organization to meet sanitation and pest control objectives
• Support the swabbing program
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
