Job summary

WPSFresh in Minneapolis is seeking dependable sanitation employees to keep our food production facility clean, safe, and ready for production. You’ll clean and sanitize equipment and production areas to meet the highest standards for food safety, quality, and cleanliness.

We can teach the right person—no years of experience required. We value reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written procedures, safety instructions, and GMPs.

Qualifications

  • No prior sanitation experience is required; we can teach the right person.
  • Detail-oriented with strong attendance.
  • Able to follow written procedures and safety instructions.
  • Willing to work weekends/other shifts.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize equipment, conveyors, production lines, utensils, and production areas.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning.
  • Wash floors, walls, drains, ceilings, and other facility areas.
  • Follow established sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and wear required PPE.
  • Complete sanitation logs and required documentation accurately.
  • Report equipment damage or safety concerns to management.
  • Work with Production and Quality teams to maintain high sanitation standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WPSFresh is looking for dependable, hardworking Sanitation Employees to help keep our food production facility clean, safe, and ready for production.

This is an important hands‑on role. You’ll be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and production areas to help ensure our products meet the highest standards for food safety, quality, and cleanliness.

What You'll Do
  • Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, conveyors, production lines, utensils, and production areas.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Wash, scrub, rinse, and sanitize floors, walls, drains, ceilings, and other facility areas.
  • Remove food residue, debris, and waste from production areas.
  • Follow established sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Safely mix, handle, and use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections to make sure equipment and areas are clean and ready for production.
  • Complete sanitation logs and required documentation accurately.
  • Report equipment damage, maintenance needs, or food safety concerns to management.
  • Follow GMPs, HACCP requirements, USDA/FDA regulations, and company food safety procedures.
  • Wear required PPE and follow all plant safety procedures.
  • Assist with environmental monitoring and corrective actions when needed.
  • Work closely with Production and Quality teams to maintain high sanitation standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Be available to work weekends and other shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous sanitation, food manufacturing, janitorial, warehouse, or production experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience safely disassembling and reassembling equipment.
  • Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
