Job summary

Jushi Holdings Inc. is hiring a Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean, safe facility environment across indoor grow areas and production spaces in Manassas, VA. The role supports plant-wide sanitation programs and requires adherence to safety and GMP practices.

Responsibilities include cleaning, equipment care, waste management, and daily logs, with occasional weekend/evening work. Training on PPE and chemical handling will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Previous sanitation experience in a highly regulated environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of GPP/GMP (Good Production Practices/ Good Manufacturing Processes) an asset.
• Willing to work weekends/evenings as needed.
• Must be able to comply with proper PPE in regulated areas.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices including chemical handling, PPE, and OSHA requirements.
• Perform facility cleaning per GMP requirements.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and debris-free.
• Sweep and mop floors and place safety signs as needed.
• Clean washrooms and breakrooms and manage waste.
• Clean individual equipment parts as required.
• Clean Grow Rooms after harvesting cannabis plants.
• Know the operation of sanitation cleaning equipment and solutions.
• Notify management about major repairs.
• Follow all safety protocols including lockout-tagout and PPE.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Manage Sanitation Storage Room and stock levels.
• Maintain daily cleaning logs and schedules.
• Perform other duties as required.

Work activities involve maintaining a hygienic, clean and sanitary facility environment, its equipment, building structure & grounds.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ensures safe working practices including chemical handling, including but not limited to SQF, PPE and OSHA requirements.
• Responsible for facility cleaning as per GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
• Keeps all equipment and work areas clean and free of debris.
• Sweeps and mops all floors, placing the safety signs where required.
• Cleans washrooms and breakrooms, picks up garbage and cleans the required offices.
• Cleaning of individual equipment parts, as required.
• Cleaning Grow Rooms after the harvesting of cannabis plants.
• Knows and understands the operation and function of all sanitation cleaning equipment.
• Knows the purpose and usage rate of all sanitizers and cleaning solutions.
• Notifies manager concerning the need for major repairs on equipment and process rooms.
• Follows all safety protocols including lockout-tagout, chemical handling and PPE as required.
• Empties all facility trash cans as scheduled and replaces with new liners as required.
• Manages Sanitation Storage Room: makes sure all supplies are in their appropriate area.
• Relays any stock that needs to be reordered to manager.
• Maintains daily cleaning log and schedule as directed.
• Other duties as required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• High School education.
• Previous sanitation experience in a highly regulated industry an asset.
• Good working knowledge of Department of Health sanitation requirements an asset.
• Willing to work weekends/evenings as needed.
• Willingness to learn and physical aptitude for new skillset.
• Knowledge of GPP/GMP (Good Production Practices/ Good Manufacturing Processes) an asset.
• Must be able to comply with proper protective equipment (PPE) when in the GPP/GMP area and willing to wear proper protective gear.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions to complete tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
• Some heavy lifting may be required. The exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The job is performed indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water. Appropriate PPE will be provided. Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping and bending. Twisting in tight areas may also be required at times.
