Job summary

Jushi Holdings Inc. is seeking a Sanitation Technician to support plant-wide safety and sanitation programs across the facility in Lakeville, MA. The role focuses on maintaining a hygienic, clean environment for equipment, building structure and grounds.

Responsibilities include GMP-based cleaning, chemical handling, PPE compliance, and daily log maintenance. The position requires high school education and may involve weekend/evening shifts; opportunities for growth exist within a regulated

Qualifications

• High School education.
• Previous sanitation experience in a highly regulated industry an asset.
• Good working knowledge of Department of Health sanitation requirements an asset.
• Willing to work weekends/evenings as needed.
• Willingness to learn and physical aptitude for new skillset.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Production Practices/ Good Manufacturing Processes) an asset.
• Must be able to comply with PPE when in GMP areas and wear proper protective gear.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions to complete tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe working practices including chemical handling, PPE and OSHA requirements.
• Responsible for facility cleaning as per GMP requirements.
• Keeps all equipment and work areas clean and free of debris.
• Sweeps and mops all floors, placing safety signs where required.
• Cleans washrooms and breakrooms, picks up garbage and cleans required offices.
• Cleaning of individual equipment parts, as required.
• Cleaning Grow Rooms after the harvesting of cannabis plants.
• Knows and understands the operation and function of all sanitation cleaning equipment.
• Knows the purpose and usage rate of all sanitizers and cleaning solutions.
• Notifies manager concerning the need for major repairs on equipment and process rooms.
• Follows all safety protocols including lockout-tagout, chemical handling and PPE as required.
• Empties all facility trash cans as scheduled and replaces with new liners as required.
• Manages Sanitation Storage Room: makes sure all supplies are in their appropriate area.
• Relays any stock that needs to be reordered to manager.
• Maintains daily cleaning log and schedule as directed.
• Other duties as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
• Some heavy lifting may be required. The exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The job is performed indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water. Appropriate PPE will be provided. Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping and bending. Twisting in tight areas may also be required at times.

$19.50 - $19.50 an hour
