Responsibilities
Position Summary: This role involves effective cleaning in designated facility areas, focusing on health safety and food safety by understanding and applying GMPs, SSOPs, and plant policies. Ensuring a safe product benefits employees, customers, and consumers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment, and sanitize work areas using pressure sprayers, foamers, and sanitation equipment.
• Assist in setup and start-up of production equipment such as ovens and pasteurizers.
• Perform Clean Out of Place (COP) procedures.
• Inspect and maintain rodent control stations.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Assist in production tasks as needed.
• Be a team player.
• Operate power jacks and forklifts as needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Follow safe work practices, GMPs, HACCP guidelines, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure SQF Level 3 certification.
• Report any conditions affecting food safety, quality, or safety.
• Maintain a positive work environment through respectful communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical skills for disassembling and reassembling equipment.
• Ability to read simple words and recognize differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of two-digit numbers, using units of measurement.
• Apply common sense to carry out instructions.
• Deal with problems involving one variable in standardized situations.
• Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Follow GMPs, safety regulations, and sanitation procedures.
• Work indoors in damp environments with chemicals.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
