Job summary

Dawn Foods is hiring a Sanitor to help keep the plant clean and compliant with sanitation standards. This role involves following a master sanitation schedule, operating related equipment, and maintaining safe, clean work areas.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (GED preferred), sanitation experience, and the ability to read chemical labels and SDS data. The position requires overtime and occasional weekend work in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in plant sanitation preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand chemical labels and SDS data.
• Ability to work as a team or independently throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation techniques.
• Experience with GMPs, IFS Standards, understand HACCP programs and plant safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitor tasks (mopping, sweeping, bathroom sanitation, office cleaning) in addition to Sanitor tasks.
• Follow the daily, weekly, and monthly master sanitation schedule.
• Maintain GMP, food safety, and auditing standards to ensure compliance.
• Keep work area clean and store tools and chemicals properly.
• Identify and report pest infestations and take corrective action as needed.
• Clean and maintain plant areas including walls, floors, ceilings, rails, and drains.
• Operate and clean equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
