Job summary

Santa Monica Seafood is seeking a Sanitation Worker to perform cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment in our production area, maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work environment.

You will help ensure food safety and product quality through sanitation of equipment and facilities; prior food manufacturing experience and good communication skills are preferred. This is a hands-on role in a cold production setting with lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months sanitation experience required.
• Experience with sanitation tools, chemicals and food safety.
• Prior food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good communication and quick task comprehension.
• Understanding and use of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and the facility to maintain high food safety and product quality.
• Clean buildings by removing trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
• Ensure understanding and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience working with sanitation tools, chemicals, & food safety required.
• Understanding and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Prior food manufacturing experience.
• Good communication skills and ability to grasp tasks quickly.
• Other duties as assigned
